Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling to the systems team, lead thermal trade studies, and develop architectures to meet customer requirements.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary project team and drive modeling, testing, and verification activities, decompose requirements, and help advance technology investments toward production. This position can be remote or on-site in St. George Utah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited university or college; 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in thermal-fluid sciences including fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience with thermal-fluid systems analysis and modeling; knowledge of nonlinear solvers and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Assist System Engineer in developing system architecture and technical approach including thermal and controls analysis.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Lead modeling and analysis; coordinate activities across engineering functions.
