Job summary

GE Aerospace in Utah seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to help develop system architecture, perform thermal analysis, and lead modeling activities for aerospace programs. You will coordinate with engineering teams and suppliers, manage requirements, and support transitions from prototype to production.

The role can be remote or on-site in Saint George, Utah, with a base pay range and discretionary bonus, and a strong focus on safety and qualification testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace disciplines including requirements management and verification methodologies.
• Deep expertise in thermal fluid sciences (thermodynamics, heat transfer).
• Experience in thermal fluid systems modeling and nonlinear solvers.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships and communication.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810/DO-160 testing and environmental qualification.
• NX CAD experience, basic scripting in MATLAB/Simulink or Python.
• Ability to lead modeling/analysis and coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist System Engineer in system architecture development and validation.
• Identify and manage thermal performance risks.
• Lead modeling/analysis, set clear objectives, coordinate with engineering groups.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineer and Program Manager for testing development.
• Manage thermal and performance requirements and traceability.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specs for teams and suppliers.
• Research technology investments to improve products and services.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers during design development.
• Review documentation for prototype-to-production transition.
• Provide engineering support to diagnose non-performing products.
