Job summary

Based in Texas, you will coordinate permit acquisitions, analyze environmental impacts, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements for natural gas and electric transmission developments. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of environmental permitting experience, preferably in energy.
• 3–5 years with permitting processes through major regulatory agencies.
• 1–2 years in project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental review, permitting, and compliance for energy-sector clients (natural gas pipelines and electric transmission).
• Support analyses to develop permit applications and approvals.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on permitting requirements.
• Possibly conduct biological field surveys and related reporting.
• Potential to perform stormwater inspections and reporting.
• Assist with document production and technical editing of large deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to maintain Merjent’s standards.
