Job summary

Merjent, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Consultant to support energy infrastructure projects in the Little Rock, Arkansas area.

This full-time role focuses on environmental permitting and compliance, including permit acquisition, field surveys, environmental reviews, and fieldwork during construction and operation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of federal, state, and local permitting regulations and experience supporting energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and tasks associated with environmental review, permitting and compliance services for clients in the energy sector (natural gas pipelines and/or electric transmission lines and associated facilities).
• Support projects that involve analysis of the environmental impacts of proposed energy projects, including analyses to support development of project-specific applications.
• Conduct environmental field tasks and environmental reporting tasks.
• Potential to conduct biological/wetland field surveys and/or stormwater inspections and required associated internal and external reporting.
• Supporting administrative functions as needed, including document production and technical editing of large, detailed documents.
• Work with internal project and task managers and external clients in a manner that is consistent with Merjent's reputation for excellence.
