Job summary

A. O. Smith is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for a remote role based in the Mid Atlantic region (NJ, MD, PA, VA, WV, KY).

You will drive sales of high-efficiency water heating products, manage representative agencies, and collaborate with National and Regional teams to expand market share. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in sales, a business/marketing degree, and the ability to travel within territory. The role emphasizes training, strategy execution, and building strong contractor

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in plumbing/HVAC/construction markets.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building long-term relationships.
• Experience selling to contractors and distributors; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan with National/Regional management.
• Coordinate with representative agencies’ sales teams to target Residential New Construction and Repair/Remodel segments.
• Design and deliver high-efficiency product training on Heat Pump, Condensing Tank, and Tankless water heating technologies.
• Lead Representative Agency members to achieve sales goals through tactical plan execution.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory to expand market share.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, distribution branches, and contractors to maximize sales opportunities.
• Track performance metrics and adjust plans to improve outcomes.
