Job summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) role with A. O. Smith Water Treatment focuses on growing the customer base through in-field support, training, and coaching of best practices. The RSM serves as a trusted advisor from lead generation to post-sale support in the Wholesale Channel.

This remote-based position supports territories across select states with travel up to 75% and requires strong communication and technical acumen to drive loyalty and success.

Qualifications

• 3 years of residential water treatment experience.
• WQA Certification is a plus.
• Travel 75% of the time.
• Experience in water-related or water-adjacent business is a plus.
• Strong communication and MS Office proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop action plan with the National Sales Channel Manager to support territory goals.
• Develop understanding of Water-Right, Master Water Conditioning, and AO Pro products.
• Call on users and prospective users to influence purchases of AO Smith Water Treatment’s equipment and services.
• Provide on-site technical and resource trainings to existing customers and prospects.
• Attend and support industry and customer events in the assigned region.
• Meet sales and expense objectives in the annual budget.
• Troubleshoot water treatment solutions in-field and provide in-field support.
• Participate in monthly reviews and planning sessions to gauge progress and opportunities.
• Follow up on leads and customer inquiries promptly.
