Job summary

Spheros Environmental seeks a Terrestrial Ecology Practice Area Lead to guide and expand our terrestrial ecology services. The role focuses on leadership, technical mentorship, and driving business development across land‑based ecosystems, ensuring high‑quality client deliverables.

The candidate will uphold standards, oversee regulatory compliance, and grow market share through strategic project delivery and cross‑practice collaboration.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in science, engineering, or business.
• 15+ years of experience or equivalent (e.g., BS+11, MS+10, PhD+9).
• Understands terrestrial ecology practice area and client needs.
• Strong business development, client relationships management, and proposal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establishs and upholds technical standards, best practices, and QA across the terrestrial ecology practice area.
• Mentors and develops team members to enhance technical capabilities and leadership potential.
• Leads in project delivery with compliance to relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborates with leadership and client managers to position the company for high‑quality delivery.
• Identifies hiring needs and supports recruiting and training within the practice area.
