Job summary

GSI Environmental Inc. seeks a senior leader to guide a core environmental practice area, including management of projects, budgets, and client relationships across geoscience disciplines.

The role emphasizes ownership opportunities, staff mentoring, and cross‑office collaboration, with potential for remote work within the United States. A strong track record in environmental consulting and regulatory knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in geosciences, engineering, toxicology, or related field.
• 15–20 years of private-sector environmental consulting experience.
• Professional licensure such as PE, PG, DABT.
• Experience with groundwater/soil/air contamination and site remediation.
• Litigation experience as a consulting/testifying expert.
• Experience managing project teams and budgets and client contacts.
• Experience developing sampling plans and conceptual models; data analysis.
• Ability to perform independent research and cross-geography collaboration.
• Strong mentoring and recruiting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of state/federal environmental cleanup regulations.
• HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a practice area aligned with GSI’s services; oversee professional, technical, and administrative activities.
• Develop long-range plans and corporate objectives; manage budgets.
• Negotiate critical issues with officers of other organizations.
• Supervise technical staff and ensure staff utilization.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage projects and teams.
