Job summary

Spheros Environmental is seeking a Senior Air Quality Scientist to lead air quality projects, including monitoring, data analysis, modeling, and regulatory support, with a strong emphasis on technical leadership.

The role blends project management, client engagement, and business development, requiring mentoring of junior staff and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across environmental services. Remote work is available with periodic travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in environmental science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of air quality monitoring, data analysis, modeling, emissions, permitting, or regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience managing complex environmental projects and client relationships.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of air quality projects including monitoring, data analysis, modeling, and regulatory support.
• Develop practical solutions for complex air quality and environmental challenges.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development and proposals.
