Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Clinical Terminology Specialist (Mid-Level) to help stand up a new terminology services platform and establish governance, training, and documentation to support healthcare interoperability and analytics initiatives.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams, implementation partners, and healthcare data stakeholders to ensure consistent vocabularies and coding standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in healthcare informatics, terminology management, or related experience.
• Experience with healthcare vocabularies and standards (SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Experience developing technical and operational documentation.

Responsibilities

• Stand up enterprise terminology services and govern data standards.
• Develop mappings, value sets, and terminology standards used across systems.
• Create SOPs, process docs, user guides, knowledge bases, and training materials.
• Deliver training for NC HIEA staff and stakeholders; translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Collaborate with business users, data teams, architects, analysts, and vendors.
• Support rollout, testing, validation, and operational readiness for the terminology platform.
