Job summary

Penn State seeks a TeleSANE - Remote Forensic Nurse Expert for part-time, on-call work. The role provides real-time telehealth consultations and mentorship to SANEs across the country, with training and certification requirements outlined by CFNC/IAFN.

As a teleSANE, you will work from a private, secure home or office, ensure patient privacy, and participate in ongoing professional development. Shifts are 5 p.m.–5 a.m. Eastern, with monthly call expectations and no traditional benefits.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in good standing.
• SANE certification (SANE-A or SANE-P) required.
• Minimum 30 acute SANEs performed per year for past 3 years; pediatric focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time telehealth forensic nursing consultations during exams for all ages.
• Offer mentorship and quality assurance through teleSANE reviews.
• Maintain privacy and security for remote consultations.
• Attend ongoing training and stay current with state guidelines and best practices.
• Self-schedule and cover evenings and weekends as on-call hours.
