Job summary

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse license from the State of Ohio.
• Completion of 40+ hour didactic training for forensic nursing.
• Ability to perform speculum exams under supervision.
• Completion of 3 sexual assault exams with experienced forensic nurse or in simulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical forensic exams to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and related cases.
• Document comprehensive data, history, and physical findings per protocols.
• Collect evidence using established kits and follow OHOC/IAFN guidelines.
• Testify in court when required and coordinate follow-up care.
