Placements24 is seeking a diligent Telecoms Support Engineer to assist customers in Soweto and nearby areas. The role offers a strong remote component, with the opportunity to troubleshoot broadband, VoIP, and related telecom services, while guiding users through effective solutions and maintaining clear records.

You will work independently from a remote setting, handling inquiries via phone, email, and chat, and escalating complex issues as needed to ensure fast, reliable service for clients

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical support role in telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of broadband, VoIP, and basic networking.
• Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Patience and a customer-centric approach to resolving issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage time remotely.
• Familiarity with CRM and ticketing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and chat regarding telecommunications services.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to internet connectivity, voice services, and equipment.
• Guide customers through self-help solutions and provide clear, step-by-step instructions.
• Document customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions accurately in the support system.
