Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a skilled Technical Specialist II for our Telecom team. This role requires an active Illinois SE license and offers remote work flexibility.

The candidate will review and prepare structural reports and designs for telecom projects, and support proposals and contracts across multiple internal clients. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, 10+ years of related experience (3+ years in telecom structures), and proficiency with 3D structural

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required; structural focus preferred.
• 10+ years related experience; minimum 3 years in telecom structures.
• Illinois SE (Structural Engineer) licensure required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with telecom 3D structural software (RISA 3D, TNX Tower); experience with other structural analysis tools is a plus.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies (AutoCAD, Revit, RISA) and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong technical writing, public presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare structural reports and modification designs for telecom projects (mount/tower analyses, water tanks, silos, concealment structures).
• Prepare reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, permits, and other contract documents per QA/QC policies.
• Provide technical assistance and supervision in proposals, expressions of interest, and contracts for assigned projects.
