Job summary

Capital Technology Group seeks a Technical Writer to develop clear, accurate documentation for mission-critical systems in secure, regulated environments.

You will collaborate with engineers and product teams, manage documentation lifecycles, and ensure content meets style guidelines. The role requires strong communication, 5+ years of experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, CS, IS, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of professional experience in technical writing or content management in a technical environment.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio.
• Experience drafting documentation for software systems or enterprise apps.
• Strong writing, editing, and organization skills.
• Ability to manage documentation lifecycles from draft to publication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user manuals, guides, online help content, and process docs.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and SMEs to translate technical concepts.
• Create technical specs, training materials, reports, and presentations.
• Manage documentation projects end-to-end: planning, writing, editing, publication.
• Review content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy per style guidelines.
• Update docs based on system changes, user feedback, and releases.
• Support usability testing to ensure end-user needs are met.
• Communicate updates and project status to stakeholders.
