Job summary

Camunda is looking for a Technical Writer who will own documentation for key platform areas, partnering with engineers, product managers and designers to ensure accurate, developer-focused content. You’ll become a subject‑matter expert, shaping the developer journey and maintaining the docs infrastructure across the Camunda platform.

This hands-on role requires 3+ years in technical writing, experience with Java, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and docs-as-code workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical writing experience with a strong portfolio of developer-focused content.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and related tech.
• Experience writing about on-premise software and SaaS documentation.
• Able to tailor content for diverse engineers, analysts, and product owners.
• Experience with docs-as-code workflows and tools like Docusaurus, Git, and Markdown.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the documentation for one or more product areas, embedded in product teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and designers to keep docs aligned with roadmap and features.
• Be a subject matter expert, shaping developer journeys through high-impact content.
• Lead docs projects from concept to release, including reviews and maintenance.
• Advocate for documentation as a critical part of user experience and product discussions.
• Improve structure and clarity using analytics and user feedback.
• Collaborate with the Documentation team to share best practices and tooling.
• Maintain and improve documentation site infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
