Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Technical Writer to produce compliant documentation for backend systems and mobile apps. You’ll collaborate with implementation teams to define requirements, create content, and drive lifecycle improvements in a regulated environment.

This is an 18-month contract-to-hire role with W2 employment, Pacific Time alignment, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and life insurance. Remote work available.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years creating, editing, and proofreading technical software documentation.
• Experience documenting backend systems, mobile apps, and data solutions in controlled environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear text and visuals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with technical teams to define documentation needs and deliver clear content.
• Create, edit, and maintain docs for backend components and mobile apps.
• Prepare documents for Quality Management System compliance in a regulated setting.
• Standardize writing processes, style guides, and lifecycle practices.
• Improve documentation development lifecycle for efficient delivery.
• Tailor content to audience, gather stakeholder input, and ensure accuracy.
• Create data flow and component diagrams; produce technical illustrations.
• Author and manage docs using GitHub-based workflows.
