Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Technical Writer for a remote, 18-month contract-to-hire role. You will produce compliant documentation for backend systems and mobile apps in a regulated setting, working with implementation teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality content, diagrams, and process improvements.

The role emphasizes audience-tailored content, stakeholder reviews, and lifecycle standardization.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of experience producing, editing, and proofreading technical software documentation.
• Experience documenting in regulated environments and for audits.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear text and visuals for diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with technical teams to define documentation needs and deliver clear, accurate technical content.
• Create, edit, and maintain docs for backend components and mobile apps, including architecture and data solutions.
• Prepare documents for Quality Management System compliance in a regulated environment.
• Standardize documentation processes, procedures, and style guidelines.
• Improve documentation lifecycle practices to ensure timely, quality content delivery.
• Assess audience needs and tailor tone and terminology for clarity.
• Conduct document reviews and gather stakeholder input for accuracy.
• Create data and component diagrams and related technical illustrations.
• Author and manage documentation using GitHub-based workflows.
