Job summary

e-STORAGE is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to support the development, evaluation, and integration of utility-scale energy storage systems with a focus on battery technology.

You will lead technical due diligence, collaborate with R&D, and translate performance insights into design improvements while working remotely from Canada or the United States. A strong background in battery degradation, DS modeling, and cross‑functional communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in battery storage, R&D, or product management.
• Direct experience in battery product development and energy storage applications is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LFP cells, DC blocks, and ESS concepts.
• Familiarity with UL 9540, UL9540A, UL 1973, UN 38.3, IEC standards.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical due diligence and integration review of battery cells and subsystems.
• Collaborate with R&D, product, and software teams to align designs and roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain degradation models (Excel/Python) and performance tools.
• Support governance with Independent Engineer reviews and customer discussions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional knowledge transfer and documentation.
