Job summary

Canadian Solar's e-STORAGE unit seeks a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer to support development, evaluation, and integration of utility-scale energy storage systems, focusing on PCS, EMS, MVT, microgrid, and gas turbine applications.

The role requires a systems-level understanding of electrical power systems and power electronics, with hands-on hardware/software engineering, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration across product lines and suppliers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, R&D, or project commissioning.
Direct experience in inverter product development and energy storage is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of power systems, power electronics, and system integration.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed technical due diligence on inverter, EMS, MVT, and related power-system products.
Develop internal tools for system sizing, product design, and validation.
Lead technical reviews of new inverter, EMS, MVT, and related products for integration.
Support the electrical interfaces between inverter, battery system, EMS, MVT, and grid connection.
Coordinate cross-functional communication with engineering, procurement, and applications teams.
