Job summary

Pearson in the United States is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams delivering complex, high-impact projects on time and within budget. The TPM will work closely with engineering and product management to drive initiatives from concept to completion and ensure alignment with business objectives.

A strong technical background and excellent PM skills are required, with experience in cloud technologies, SDLC, and DevOps being a plus. Remote opportunity in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role.
• Strong technical background in software development or systems engineering.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Proficiency with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with cloud technologies, SDLC, and DevOps is a plus.
• PMP, PgMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technical programs and projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, resources, risks, and milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management to define requirements and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure successful outcomes.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Foster cross-team collaboration and a culture of transparency and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
• Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Manage project budgets and track expenses.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
