Job summary

Pomelo Care is seeking a technical leader to own the patient interaction from enrollment through the entire care journey. You will drive mobile and web app strategy, prototype fast with design and product teams, and shepherd AI-enabled engagement initiatives.

You will mentor engineers and establish standards while collaborating with clinical teams to translate real patient needs into scalable features. This is a fully remote role within the continental US, reporting to the Director of

Qualifications

6+ years of experience building and shipping consumer or patient-facing products.
Led a team as technical lead shaping architecture direction.
Experience across full stack and startup pace.
Familiar with LLM coding agents and AI trend usage.
Collaborates with product and design; not just implements specs.
Experience with React Native or cross-platform mobile frameworks.
Healthcare, wellness, or high-trust consumer domain experience.
Engaged in onboarding/retention flows to improve user stickiness.
Experience with AI/ML or agent-based systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction for our mobile development strategy and patient-facing apps.
Prototype and ship features in patient mobile and web apps with design and product teams.
Shape product direction to support patient retention in the first month.
Communicate with patients and translate needs into features.
Mentor and grow junior engineers; raise team standards.
Set technical standards, architecture patterns, and development practices.
