Job summary

Indeed, the world’s #1 job site, seeks a Software Engineer VI to serve as Technical Fellow for the Interop space, owning architectural direction across integration domains and guiding strategy with senior engineers, product leads, and executives.

You will lead architectural decisions, document trade-offs, and help the org scale integrations as partner volumes grow, mentoring a team of 40–50 engineers and driving reliability and clarity across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Math/CE/EE or related field with 15+ years of experience; or Master’s with 12+; or PhD with 8+ years.
• Experience designing and evolving service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience applying AI/ML capabilities to accelerate architecture, development velocity, and integration quality at scale.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability as a principal technical and product contributor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence technical direction across engineering, product, and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural assessment and simplification across multiple teams or domains.
• Guide architectural decisions and system evolution with senior engineers and business partners.
• Document and communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs effectively.
• Translate architectural needs and user feedback into improvements for shared platforms, tools, or processes.
• Contribute code and design improvements to internal systems, maintaining high quality and maintainability.
• Influence architectural standards across the engineering organization.
