Job summary

Indeed, the world’s leading job site, seeks a Software Engineer VI to act as a Technical Fellow for the Interop space. You’ll own architectural direction for external integrations, partner with senior engineers and executives, and drive scale and reliability across Big-4 and partner surfaces.

You’ll deliver architectural clarity, contribute to design decisions, and help the Solutions Engineering team handle complex integration challenges while leading a large engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years experience or Master's with 12+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• Experience designing service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience applying AI/ML to accelerate architecture, development velocity, and integration quality at scale.
• Demonstrated ownership as a principal technical and product contributor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence technical direction across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural assessment and simplification across multiple teams or domains.
• Guide architectural decisions with senior engineers, technical leaders, and business partners.
• Document and communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs effectively.
• Translate needs into improvements for shared platforms, tools, or processes.
• Contribute code and design improvements, maintaining high quality and maintainability.
• Influence architectural standards across the organization through collaboration.
