Job summary

Cayenta Managed Services is seeking a Technical Consultant to manage and optimize Cayenta ERP and CIS environments. The role involves hands-on system and database administration, troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring across Windows and Linux platforms, with expansion into Azure cloud operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document learnings, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliable customer environments. Remote work is supported in the US and Canada.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in technical support, system administration, managed services, infrastructure, database administration, or a related technical role.
• Experience with or strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of system administration concepts in Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Some experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while knowing when collaboration or escalation is appropriate.
• Willingness to participate in weekend schedules or on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Cayenta ERP and/or Customer Information System environments simultaneously.
• Perform SQL Server database administration and support environments that may also include Oracle.
• Perform system administration for customer application and infrastructure environments.
• Monitor customer environments and proactively address conditions affecting availability, reliability, security, or performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution across teams.
