Job summary

Our client, a producer of functional chemical ingredients for Food, Beverage, and Nutritional products, seeks a market development leader for the Americas. You will identify opportunities, spend time with customers, and monitor market trends while collaborating with Sales, Technical Support and Innovation Teams.

The role requires a Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Food Science degree and a minimum of 3 years in functional ingredients, with strong leadership and a track record in new business

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or a related Science field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with functional foods/nutritional ingredients; knowledge of vitamins/minerals/amino acids/fiber/protein is desirable.
• Prior sales or customer-facing experience is helpful.
• Strong leadership and teamwork; proven ability to motivate and drive growth.
• Experience in New Business Development and cross-functional matrix teams (sales, marketing, R&D, technical support, manufacturing, finance).

Responsibilities

• Support Sales with complex technical requests and topics.
• Visit distributors and end customers in alignment with Sales.
• Develop relationships with technical counterparts of customers and prospects.
• Participate in events (trade shows, webinars, conferences) to promote products and capabilities.
• Identify, qualify, and lead customer projects in alignment with Sales and Innovation Teams.
• Ensure alignment across customer, Sales, Technical Support and Innovation Teams.
• Travel 30–40% to meet with key accounts and high-visibility customers.
