Job summary

FAO seeks a Local Technical Advisor – Pandemic Preparedness to support the MAKE-READY project from a home-based position. The appointee will coordinate with national and regional teams, deliver technical guidance, and ensure timely reporting of project activities.

The role focuses on One Health approaches, zoonotic disease prevention, and cross‑sector collaboration, with an emphasis on in‑country liaison and capacity building.

Qualifications

• University degree required in veterinary/epidemiology or related field.
• At least 5 years of project coordination and public health preparedness experience.
• Experience with One Health concepts and multisectoral coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead local technical advisor for project activities.
• Coordinate with Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia teams and partners.
• Provide liaison between FAO and national authorities on technical matters.
• Support multisector coordination and draft terms of reference.
• Prepare donor progress and terminal reports and project documentation.
