First Citizens Bank seeks a seasoned Technical Lead to guide multiple engineering teams building digital banking experiences. You will shape architectures using API-first, event-driven patterns and modern frontend frameworks to deliver scalable customer experiences.

In this remote role (US locations AZ/NC/TX), you will mentor engineers, drive DevSecOps practices, and partner with product and architecture teams to ensure reliability, security, and rapid delivery across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 8+ years in technical work.
• Alternatively, high school diploma with 12+ years in engineering or related fields.
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams in banking/fintech is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction across multiple Agile product teams delivering customer-facing digital banking capabilities.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for engineering managers, architects, product leaders, and delivery teams.
• Drive delivery of scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available banking solutions.
• Guide technical roadmaps, platform evolution, and modernization initiatives.
