First Citizens Bank seeks a highly experienced Technical Lead to shape the future of our Consumer and Business Digital Banking platform. This remote role will guide multiple engineering teams through API-first, cloud-native, and event-driven architectures, delivering modern customer experiences.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture reviews, and partner with stakeholders to align platform strategy with business goals, ensuring secure, scalable, and observable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical work or 12+ years with HS diploma.
• Experience in banking/fintech or regulated industries is preferred.
• Experience modernizing large-scale customer-facing digital platforms.
• Strong communication and executive stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction across multiple Agile product teams delivering customer-facing digital banking capabilities.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for engineering managers, architects, product leaders, and delivery teams.
• Drive delivery of scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available banking solutions.
• Guide technical roadmaps, platform evolution, and modernization initiatives.
