Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead to shape our Consumer and Business Digital Banking platform. You will lead multiple engineering teams, drive API-first, event-driven architectures, and DevSecOps practices, and collaborate with enterprise architects.

The role is remote with location restrictions to AZ, NC, TX, and requires strong leadership in fintech environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field with 8+ years' experience in software engineering or related.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and delivery teams.
• Experience in banking/fintech or regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction across multiple Agile product teams delivering customer-facing digital banking capabilities.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for engineering managers, architects, product leaders, and delivery teams.
• Drive delivery of scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available banking solutions.
• Guide technical roadmaps, platform evolution, and modernization initiatives.
