Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking a Technology Financial Analyst for a remote contract role to analyze KPI e-commerce metrics and build reporting tools with merchandising, marketing, and site ops leaders.

You will deliver dashboards and insights to influence digital planning, optimize e-commerce performance, and support budgeting, forecasts, and Open to Buy discussions. Strong Excel and SQL/Python skills are essential, with retail analytics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in eCommerce, merchandising, financial reporting, planning or forecasting.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Proficient in SQL and/or Python.
• Prior experience working in retail.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Create daily, periodic, and annual digital tools, reports, and analysis for KPI tracking versus plan to identify risks and opportunities.
• Serve as a point of contact for e-Commerce logistics to answer financial questions within the department.
• Design and monitor reports analyzing logistics data, adjusting based on trends and future opportunities.
• Manage, prepare, and coordinate reports for executive monthly business reviews and Open to Buy sessions on e-Commerce performance.
• Develop and maintain digital analyses with insights, recommendations, and action points for senior leadership, including sales and costs.
• Generate actionable insights on e-Commerce performance versus budget, targets, and forecasts, identifying recent trends.
• Perform deep dive analytics for the digital shelf to optimize catalog performance.
• Partner with digital stakeholders to analyze and report on their performance areas.
• Monitor and measure risks and benefits of various business strategies such as email campaigns, coupons, and promotions.
• Support strategies to maximize revenue growth through analysis and collaboration with business owners and management.
• Deliver daily ad hoc business analysesBuild tools and models to ensure accurate forecasting processes
• Design, update, and create reports and templates summarizing period and quarterly financial outcomes for management
• Articulate recommendations and strategies to stakeholders and executive management
