Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs seeks a Team Lead in Electrical Engineering to grow and lead a team servicing industrial clients in the Oil & Gas sector. The role emphasizes accurate, timely delivery of electrical scopes, mentoring staff, and enforcing best practices across projects in the Midland/Odessa region.

The candidate will work with the Director to formulate yearly business plans, ensure high utilization and margins, and support proposals and client communications while maintaining safety standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (electric power option preferred).
• 5+ years of engineering or relevant field experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, but can be offset with industry experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and reside in Midland/Odessa area.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, drafters, designers, and technicians to complete electrical engineering scopes.
• Develop and enforce the department’s Standard Best Practices (SBP’s).
• Mentor team members and help them grow professionally.
• Manage project backlog, utilization, and margins; coordinate workload.
• Support business development via proposals and marketing tasks.
• Prepare technical write-ups for change orders and budgets.
