Job summary

Polished Talent Group is seeking Remote Tax Preparers to assist clients with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns. This is a remote, commission-based role with full-time and part-time opportunities. Training is provided and prior experience is welcome but not required.

Candidates must have an active IRS PTIN or be willing to obtain one and complete required tax training prior to handling client returns. Emphasizes confidentiality and IRS compliance throughout the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active IRS Preparer Tax ID Number (PTIN) or willingness to obtain one.
• Must successfully complete required tax preparation training before preparing client returns.
• Experience in tax preparation or financial services is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Collect and review client-provided tax documents.
• Enter tax information into professional tax preparation software.
• Review completed returns for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with clients regarding missing or additional documentation.
• Maintain organized and confidential client records.
• Follow IRS requirements and due diligence standards.
• Complete required training and compliance requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and team members.
