Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Tax preparation experience is a plus but not required.
• Active PTIN or willingness to obtain one before preparing returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Collect and review client-provided tax documents.
• Enter tax information accurately into tax software.
• Review returns for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with clients regarding missing or additional documentation.
• Maintain organized and accurate client records.
• Protect confidential taxpayer information and data.
• Follow IRS requirements and due diligence standards.
• Complete required training and compliance requirements.
