The Arizona Department of Revenue seeks an Error Resolution Specialist 1 to analyze, investigate, and adjust tax documents and payments for various tax types. The role emphasizes accuracy, troubleshooting, and collaboration with taxpayers and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
• Good math skills including basic arithmetic and percentages.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel) and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate, and adjust tax documents and payments for one tax type.
• Identify and correct tax documents and payments not validated by the system.
• Update standard operating procedures for the tax type.
• Conduct research and communicate with taxpayers and supervisors to resolve errors.
• Process low-volume returns and stay current on laws and regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and lean improvement activities.
