Job summary

Atomic HR is seeking a licensed US CPA to sign off on AI-prepared tax returns and shape the review playbook. You will define edge-case rules for K-1s, basis tracking and multi-state allocations, while collaborating with founders and engineers.

In this role you will log engine errors, test fixes, and mentor a lean reviewer team. The position is remote or hybrid with founding equity and no billable-hour tracking.

Qualifications

• Active US CPA license with PTIN and no disciplinary record.
• 5+ years preparing and reviewing complex individual and small-business returns (1040s, K-1s, S corp, partnerships, C corp).
• Experience with final sign-off under own license and documented reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-prepared tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, C corp) and decide sign-off status.
• Define edge-case rules and QA steps with product/engineering.
• Log engine errors with reproducible examples and test fixes.
