Job summary

Canonical is seeking entry-level talent scientists to join a globally distributed team. You will learn how to implement hiring strategies, manipulate data with SQL and Python, and support evidence-based talent decisions in a remote, international setting.

Collaborating with senior stakeholders, you will contribute to projects that drive hiring outcomes, while developing skills in psychometrics, data analysis, and stakeholder management in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in psychology or related field.
• Advanced analytical ability to dissect and analyse data using SQL; Python and/or statistics advantageous.
• Exposure to talent through coursework, internship, or first job in a talent team.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to assess candidates using behavioural interview techniques.
• Gain understanding of psychometrics in the workplace.
• Support process and documentation improvements in hiring practices.
• Contribute to analytics-driven projects to draw insights from data.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to align on hiring targets.
• Develop understanding of Canonical systems and platforms to support hiring questions.
• Assist with ticket support and channel inquiries as processes are learned.
