Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer – Aviation Weather & NAS Integration to support the FAA's BNATCS program. This role focuses on modernizing aviation weather capabilities and integrating weather systems with the NAS, coordinating across FAA, contractors, and partners.

Location is remote with travel to Washington, DC, and Alaska engagements. The candidate will oversee requirements, interfaces, schedules, risks, and deliverables across weather observation systems such as AWOS, VWOS, and WCAM,

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
7–16 years experience depending on degree in complex technical projects.
Experience coordinating engineering teams across organizations.
Experience managing schedules, risks, deliverables, and customer communications.
Experience developing engineering docs, reports, or acquisition docs.

Responsibilities

Provide systems engineering support for aviation weather modernization and NAS integration.
Coordinate interfaces, data flows, risks, and requirements across weather systems and NAS.
Maintain visibility into system interactions and dependencies; support reviews and briefs.
Develop integrated project schedules, risk registers, and technical deliverables.
Coordinate with FAA, subcontractors, and partners to drive decisions and completion.
