Job summary

The University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking a Systems Analyst in the Office of the Registrar. The role reports to the Associate Registrar and focuses on reporting on and coordinating student records and curriculum management system functionalities, applying business process concepts to resolve issues.

The incumbent serves as a liaison to ITS and uses Peoplesoft, Coursedog, Curriculum Strategy and related tools to maintain data integrity, audits, and user testing, while enabling effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• Excellent collaboration with diverse groups and individuals.
• Intermediate knowledge of IT and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Strong writing and documentation skills; ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience delivering reports from large relational database systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate functional requirements for curriculum and student information systems.
• Interpret policies to optimize Registrar core functions such as scheduling, records, and compliance.
• Support curriculum management, enrollment, transcripts, archiving, reporting and audit processes.
• Develop end-user documentation and training materials for system use.
• Assist with testing plans, implementation, and application support.
• Maintain data integrity and security across AIS and related systems.
