Job summary

The Associate Registrar, Systems at University of California, Santa Cruz leads the development and delivery of student records systems within the Office of the Registrar, coordinating the AIS in PeopleSoft and serving as a liaison to ITS and campus partners.

This role emphasizes project leadership, data reporting using SQL, and mentoring, while ensuring accurate records, data integrity, and smooth system operations across university processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Progressively responsible project management experience.
• Demonstrated analytical skill with ability to undertake complex analyses and recommend solutions.
• Advanced business and process analysis skills focused on design, modification, testing and implementation.
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience writing complex process and system requirement specs, user stories and test plans.
• Experience with data mapping, diagramming, and reporting software (SQL/BO).

Responsibilities

• Identify and define highly complex student records systems scope and objectives.
• Represent the Office of the Registrar on cross-functional teams.
• Develop system test plans and conduct testing to meet acceptance criteria.
• Define specifications for ad hoc and standard reports.
• Provide production support and mentoring to staff.
• Lead and coordinate reporting and data analysis tasks.
