Job summary

Magnit Global is seeking a Systems Administrator I for a remote role supporting Central hours. You will assist in server operations, manage virtual environments, and administer Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, MECM, and M365.

The role emphasizes Windows, Azure/Entra ID, backups, disaster recovery, security, and on‑call support. You will document processes and drive improvements while collaborating with clients to deliver reliable, scalable IT services.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IT experience with relevant degree.
• 2+ years as a Microsoft Systems Administrator or similar.
• Experience with Active Directory and DNS/DHCP in hybrid environments.
• Proficient with M365 and Azure/Entra ID services.
• Windows Server OS 2012+ and MECM.
• Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix.
• Backup, monitoring, and high availability practices.
• Strong networking, security, and diagnostics skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in server operations and resolve customer issues in Unix/Linux environments.
• Manage virtual environments: deployment, configuration, patching, capacity planning.
• Administer Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, MECM and M365.
• Support Windows, strong M365/Entra ID; MAC experience a plus.
• Perform disaster recovery planning, backups, and remote installations.
• Support change control and migration policies.
• Troubleshoot and optimize server hardware and Windows performance.
• Build server protection and hardening efforts.
• Monitor system performance and tuning.
• Support migrations and upgrades in on-prem and cloud (Azure-Entra/AWS).
• Ensure compliance with monitoring, backup, and batch jobs.
• Provide technical planning and advisory for Microsoft customers.
• Deliver end-to-end experience aligned with client goals.
• Troubleshoot critical issues with prompt resolution and communication.
• Maintain system documentation (SOPs, configs, KBs).
• Define/process improvements to drive service quality.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call shift.
