We deliver secure, high-quality language solutions in more than 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

We are seeking Sylheti Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Sylheti, an Eastern Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Sylhet region of Bangladesh and northeastern India,

Qualifications

• Fluency in Sylheti and English, Bengali a plus.
• Minimum 2 years’ interpreting experience (immigration/government preferred).
• Strong ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Sylheti-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and proceedings.
• Interpret accurately, impartially, and professionally in immigration contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality per USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Manage scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
• Attend training, refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
