Job summary

Alcon is hiring a Surgical Medical Science Liaison, Central, to join our Research & Development function. The role focuses on presenting scientific/clinical information about Alcon products and gathering insights to influence strategies. It involves guiding human clinical trials (phases III/IV) and interfacing with Medical Affairs and regulatory teams.

This position is remote in the US with up to 75% travel, covering the Surgical portfolio. Preferred locations include TX, IA, KS, LA, and MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 7 Years of Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts and key opinion leaders.
• Support the development and adoption of Alcon products through evidence-based scientific exchange and seek external insights.
• Provide general medical information in therapeutic areas to practitioners and Alcon associates and respond to unsolicited requests for medical information.
• Engage in scientific discussions around Alcon product data.
• Implement medical projects and navigate investigator trials from inception to publication.
