Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Principal, Medical Science Liaison to join our Research & Development function. This remote US role requires 75% travel and focuses on the Surgical portfolio.

You will present scientific data, gather insights, and influence strategic direction through evidence‑based discussions with medical experts. The successful candidate will lead clinical trials, collaborate with Med Info and Safety, and serve as a medical consultant to cross‑functional teams while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• 7+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer‑to‑peer relationships with medical experts and key opinion leaders.
• Support the development and adoption of products through evidence‑based scientific exchange.
• Provide medical information in therapeutic areas to practitioners and Alcon associates and respond to unsolicited requests for information.
• Engage in scientific discussions around product data and govern investigator trials from inception to publication.
• Maintain knowledge of products and current medical/scientific research and assist with safety reporting.
