Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Surgical Medical Science Liaison, Central, to join our Research & Development function. The role focuses on presenting scientific and clinical information on Alcon products, engaging with key opinion leaders, and guiding investigator-initiated trials from inception to publication.

The position is remote in the US with 75% travel, with preferred locations including Texas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana and Missouri.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field (or alternative years-based equivalence).
• Fluent reading, writing, understanding and communication in English.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Medical Science Liaison or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts and key opinion leaders.
• Present scientific and clinical information on Alcon products to practitioners and internal teams.
• Engage in scientific discussions around product data and support investigator trials from inception to publication.
• Collaborate with Med Info, Med Safety and regulatory teams to address safety issues and adverse events.
• Interface with Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access and other departments to align programs.
