Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Certified Professional Coder (CPC) for Maryland-based remote work. You will manage diagnostic and procedural coding for surgical services and help develop educational materials.

You will resolve complex coding issues, support the coding staff, and collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to establish robust coding and documentation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in a healthcare setting with proficiency in medical terminology.
• Minimum four years of coding experience and knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Associates degree in health administration, RHIT certification, or two years of related experience.
• Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based certification.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Research and assign HCPCS Level II codes for ambulatory surgical and professional services.
• Provide support to coding staff by resolving complex cases and issues.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical groups to develop coding and documentation guidelines.
