Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC is hiring an Electrical Engineer for detailed design across utility-scale and distributed energy projects, including solar PV and energy storage. Roles involve substation layouts, single-line diagrams, grounding, control schematics, and BOM management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; min six years in utilities, energy systems, or renewables.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, grid operations, and utility infrastructure; renewables experience including solar PV, wind, battery storage.
• Experience developing, designing, and checking detailed design drawings for high voltage substations.
• Based in the US with a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Familiarity with industry analytical tools and codes.

Responsibilities

• Design and review detailed electrical designs for generation, transmission and distribution including substations and energy storage.
• Review substation and collection system designs; assist with EPC RFP processes and equipment specs.
• Prepare specifications for electrical components to meet customer needs and standards.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and systems teams; conduct design development and reviews.
• Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and quality targets.
