Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Substation Designer – Physical Designer to draft substation layouts, foundations, grounding, and control buildings for multiple locations.

You will work with engineers across disciplines to turn designs into field-ready details, ensuring safety and reliability of the power grid. The role requires 3+ years in substation design, familiarity with relay schemes, and proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD, with willingness to travel for site

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Substation designing.
• Familiarity with relay protection schemes.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Substation Design & Drafting: create GA, elevations, conduit, grounding, foundation and control building layouts.
• Engineering Analysis & Calculations: perform lightning protection, voltage drop, conduit fill.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance: ensure designs meet standards and deadlines.
• Field Support: provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning.
