The Substation Designer - Physical Designer will design substations and drafts, perform engineering calculations, and collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver safe, reliable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in substation design.
• Experience with relay protection schemes is a plus.
• Proficiency in drawing standards and field orientation is required.

Responsibilities

• Substation Design & Drafting: develop General Arrangements, Elevations, Conduit Plans/Details, Grounding Plans/Details, Foundation Plans, Lightning Protection, and control building layouts, coordinating with Civil group.
• Engineering Analysis & Calculations: perform design calculations including lightning protection, voltage drop, and conduit fill.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance: work with peers to ensure accurate, on-time delivery meeting client and industry standards.
• Field Support: provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning as needed.
