Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Designer – Physical Designer to design substation layouts and details, collaborating with engineers across disciplines to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel for client site visits and project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Substation Design & Drafting: Develop electric substation drawings, including General Arrangements, Elevations, Conduit Plans/Details, Grounding Plans/Details, Foundation Plans, Lightning Protection plans, and control building layouts.
• Engineering Analysis & Calculations: Perform substation design calculations lightning protection, voltage drop, and conduit fill.
• Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Work closely with peers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of electrical design that meets client and industry standards, specifications, and good engineering practices.
• Field Support: Providing on-site technical support for select ENERCON clients during construction and commissioning as required.
